Toy Review: The Royal Ripple

Royal Ripple DildoReceiving a sex toy with Sue Johanson’s name and face on the box can immediately initiate a giggle or two. I’ve watched her show before and I think she offers great advice. For some reason though, it always makes me laugh that someone that might be considered elderly is the sex goddess of national television.

Still, if she has what it takes and it appears she does, then more power to her. I am sure that I have tried out some of her recommendations in the past, but this is the first one that comes with her bona fide seal of approval. So, naturally I was more than excited to try it out.

I will admit it, when I receive toys for review I am like a kid at Christmastime. I rip open the package and hope that there is time for me to test them out, right that second (any excuse for sex, right?). Some days I am able to whip them out and determine if the magic is there and other days I have to wait. With the Royal Ripple, I got lucky, and when I say that I mean in more ways than one.

When I first went to try this out, I discovered that the toy would need two AA batteries. This would be fine if I had any, but I was all out. Being the resourceful, pseudo-slut I can sometimes be, I reached for the remote just to get an idea if half-strength batteries would show that this toy was worth using more than once. I turned it on with a twist of the knob and held it to my hand. I considered the strength for a moment, and then asked my boyfriend what he thought. We both concluded that it was of decent power for having batteries that were not full strength and proceeded to get into testing it out.

I am a firm believer of the clitoral orgasm. While I can have vaginal orgasms nothing really compares to good old fashioned clit stimulation, so when new toys come into the house that is where they go first. The Royal Ripple has a 7 inch shaft and is 1.5 around so it’s just begging for the ability to stimulate you in all the right places. With the clit, it manages to target your sweet spot (or at least mine) quite well. Thanks to the powerful strength I was able to have a clitoral orgasm without much of a problem. However, I couldn’t stop there. I had to make sure this special toy is suitable in all ways for the people that would be using it.

Once the clitoral orgasm was winding down (but not over) I gave it a nice hard thrust into an incredibly wet hole. I was impressed by the size, which isn’t huge, but does the job well. I was even more impressed by the three ripple design that manages to hit every tiny arousal spot you might have, inside and out in that area. Before long I was having a vaginal orgasm that was only intensified by the fact that I’d already had a clitoral orgasm. It was definitely an experience I was ready to repeat again soon. Actually, it was one I repeated prior to writing this review.

The silicon base of the Royal Ripple makes it incredibly easy to clean. It also makes it incredibly hard, but giving at the same time. It’s not as hard, as say glass might be, but it’s definitely harder than gel or cyberskin. In the end, it’s just right for whatever you want to use it for. If you want it rough, this is going to leave a lasting impression. Then again, if you’re using it for a quickie, with or without penetration, you will walk away happy.

I have to admit that one of the best things about this toy is the price. Adam and Eve sells the Royal Ripple for $29.95. Considering it runs like a luxury vibrator might, this is one of the best steals I have found in recent weeks. It works like a charm, had me screaming in pleasure, and I was as content as ever when I was finished playing. Add in a decent price and easy cleanup and this baby comes highly recommended.

The Royal Ripple works for new toy users and experienced pros alike. After one use I knew this would be one of my regularly used toys. You can find the Royal Ripple, along with tons of other great toys at Adam and Eve.
